Here are some of our most frequently asked questions about how our home care service works.
We have a rigorous process of selection and verification that happens before a carer is allowed to be part of our team. We verify our carers’ identity, their eligibility to work in the UK, and we require a valid enhanced DBS certificate. We only select the very best and are dedicated to matching families with the right Carers.
Browse the community and select which carers you'd like to talk with. Message them direct to discuss their experience and the help you need. Once you're happy you can interview them or progress straight to a trial. If you get stuck along the way our support team are here throughout the week to give you a helping hand.
We know how much of a pain exhaustive care contracts can be. That's why we don't have them! If you're unhappy you just need to give one week's notice and you can change to another carer.
You will need to make sure you’ve got appropriate equipment in relation to your loved one’s needs. In many cases this will be minimal, but depending on their needs, this might include kit such as hoists. You could qualify for partial or complete funding from your local council. To do this, you would need to speak to social services in your areaYou will be asked to complete specific care needs assessment form to find out if you’re eligible. If your loved one has less than £23,250 in assets (not including their home) then you should be entitled to funding. You will not qualify if the amount exceeds £23,250.
